GetResponse Raises Affiliate Commissions. Really?
Affiliates of GetResponse (Implix) today received the good news! GetResponse is raising their commissions on personal sales to 33%. Up 3% from their previous commission on direct referrals.
But wait, there’s more. GetResponse is doing away with that pesky second tier of their affiliate compensation plan. In their continuous quest to provide an outstanding opportunity to their sales force, they feel they can best reward their affiliates for their efforts by stripping them of their own individual sales force.
This same decision was made by Implix’ competitor, Aweber, back some time ago. At that time, several of my friends and Associates who were affiliates of Aweber moved their teams over to Implix to save what they could of their income. Today, Implix, too, closes the door on their affiliate’s opportunity to leverage themselves by building a sales team.
Recently, Big Fish Games made a similar move (see Big Fish Games Closes Game Space and Affiliate Network).
Is this a symptom of our sickly economy? Was this a wise move on the part of GetResponse?
If you are an Implix affiliate, I would love to hear your thoughts.

I’m an affiliate & I’ll be leaving GR. I can’t believe they have the audacity to say they’re giving us a raise. I’d have alot more respect for them if they’d just come out & said the economy is hurting them & they’ve had to make cutbacks. We all understand that. But to candy coat it & try to sell it to us as something good, it just insults our intelligence!!
I just noticed your link to GVO. Is that who you’re with now? Are teir sutoresponders pretty good? I see they have one price instead of a price based on how many subscribers. Is that true? They won’t raise the price if you get too many? Please let me know. Thanks!!
Hi Lynda, yes, I use GVO. They are wonderful! Yes, they charge one price regardless of how many subscribers you have. It can save us a lot of money, compared to Get Response and Aweber. They also offer reliable hosting, squeeze page templates, and video you can put on your sites, or in your emails.
